Carlene Aguilar, Dennis Trillo’s ex-girlfriend, has nothing but gratitude for his actress wife Jennylyn Mercado for treating Calix – the former couple’s son – like her own.
Aguilar expressed her appreciation for Mercado after the latter dedicated a birthday message for Calix. Mercado’s message, which was shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, Sept. 22, also includes glimpses of Calix at a fencing competition.

Meanwhile, Trillo also greeted Calix while showing the latter at the same fencing competition.

“‘Pag minsan naiinis ako kay Calix, sinusumbong ko kay Jen actually… Stepmom siya and ‘pag wala ako, siya ‘yung tumatayong ina kapag kasama ni Dennis si Calix,” Aguilar said of Mercado.
Aguilar has two younger sons aside from Calix, while Mercado and Trillo share a daughter named Dylan. Mercado also has a son with actor Patrick Garcia, Jazz, whom Calix treats as a younger brother as well.
