Beatriz Zobel de Ayala, matriarch of the family behind the country’s oldest conglomerate, has died, Ayala Corp. confirmed to the Inquirer on Tuesday. She was 88.
The company said the news was shared with Ayala employees, and that “the family requests privacy during this most difficult time.”
